The First of Many: Our AcroYoga Teacher Training in Bali

Something big is happening. And I don’t mean big like “look at this sale” big — I mean big like heart-thumping, dream-seeding, full-circle kind of big.

This December, I’ll be co-hosting a very special acroyoga teacher training here in Bali — alongside two legends I deeply respect: Jacob Brown and Gabi from The Acro Way. All three of us have poured years (okay, decades) into teaching, jamming, training, building community, and helping this practice evolve. And now, for the first time ever, we’re coming together to create something… next level.

And here’s the kicker: this won’t just be any training.
This will be the first-ever training held at my brand new acroyoga retreat and training center. A space I’ve been building with my own hands (and heart), designed for movement, connection, and a whole lot of play. This is more than a training — it’s the beginning of a new chapter for Beyond The Mat.

If you’ve been following my journey — if you’ve ever flown with The AcroBack or cheered on one of our little product experiments — then you already know: this is about so much more than gear. This is about building something real. Sustainable. Rooted in the body, in trust, in community. That’s exactly what this teacher training is about too.

We’ve created a curriculum that blends L-basing, standing, pops, whips, icarian (and whicarian 😏) with solid foundations in spotting, sequencing, massage, teaching, and yes, even social media and community leadership. But honestly, it’s the space between the bullet points that excites me most — the time we’ll spend jamming, sharing, exploring Bali, and just… being in it together.

This is the first of many. My hope is to grow a full arc of acroyoga education through Beyond The Mat: beginner intensives, advanced immersions, leadership trainings, and collaborative retreats — all held here in Bali, in a space made just for this kind of magic.
