Spotting support for AcroYoga

Meet FlyCarian™.

A purpose-built spotting belt worn by the flyer so trained spotters can provide more controlled support during Icarian, standing, and dynamic AcroYoga training.

Formerly the FlySafe Spotting Belt.

FlyCarian AcroYoga spotting belt

One system, three people

Worn by the flyer. Used by trained spotters.

FlyCarian does not perform the skill, make a progression safe, or replace coaching. It provides dedicated handling points so trained spotters can coordinate support more deliberately.

For flyers

The belt is worn by the flyer during selected training progressions and fitted to the appropriate size.

For spotters

Dedicated padded SpotLines give trained spotters a purpose-built interface for coordinated handling.

For teachers and communities

A repeatable spotting tool for coached sessions, workshops, and structured skill development.

Why a separate product family?

Spotting and basing are different jobs.

The AcroBack supports the base during L-basing and repeated loading. FlyCarian supports the spotting workflow around the flyer. Each product has its own overview and one permanent detailed product page.

FAQ

Common questions, straight answers.

Is the FlyCarian™ good for beginners, or only advanced Icarian training?

The FlyCarian works across levels — from a first standing skill to advanced Icarian progressions. The quick-adjust buckle and triple Velcro closure make it fast for teachers to refit between students at different levels.

How do I clean and care for the FlyCarian™?

Spot clean with mild soap and water, then air dry fully before storing. Avoid machine washing or high heat, which can weaken the webbing, padding, and buckle hardware over time.

Can the FlyCarian™ be used for circus, aerial, or other partner acrobatics?

The FlyCarian is engineered specifically for AcroYoga spotting and coaching. It isn't rated or tested for circus, aerial, or industrial rigging use — for those disciplines, use equipment designed and certified for that purpose.

What's the difference between a spotting belt and a climbing harness?

A climbing harness is built and certified for fall arrest and vertical loads. The FlyCarian is built for the lateral, dynamic support of AcroYoga spotting — a different job with different construction, and it isn't a substitute for certified fall-arrest equipment.

Do I need training to spot with the FlyCarian™?

Yes. The FlyCarian supports trained spotters — it does not replace spotting skill, coaching, or progressions. If you're new to spotting, start with the Spotter's Guide to AcroYoga Safety and learn under an experienced teacher.

Can I use the FlyCarian™ for teaching kids or youth AcroYoga classes?

Yes — many instructors use it for youth classes, since the adjustable sizing and padded straps stay comfortable across a range of body sizes, always under qualified adult supervision.

Safety boundary

Spotting support, not fall arrest.

FlyCarian is not climbing equipment, an aerial harness, industrial safety equipment, fall-arrest equipment, or a substitute for qualified coaching, experienced spotters, appropriate progressions, communication, and judgment. Inspect before every use and stop immediately if its condition is uncertain.
