At Beyond the Mat, we build gear that’s meant to lift you up — literally and metaphorically. On the off chance something arrives not-so-lifted, this is where we make it right.

We keep our return policy simple, human, and flexible where it counts. Life happens. Acro happens. We get it.


Return Windows

We offer generous windows so you’re never rushed:

Standard items: 30 days from the date of delivery

Manufacturing defects: Up to 60 days (our “we stand behind our craftsmanship” window)

Festival purchases: 7 days from the date you snagged it

Requests outside these windows may not qualify, but we always read messages with compassion and creativity.


Condition Requirements

Returned items must be:

Fresh, unused, and unwashed

Free of chalk, sweat, sunscreen, beach sand, dog hair, and post-jam energy

Packed with all original tags, bags, pouches, and magic

If an item comes back looking well-loved, we may have to decline the return — but we’ll always explain why.


Items That Can’t Come Back (Except for Defects)

Some products are a one-way journey — once they go home with you, they’re yours forever unless something is truly wrong.

3.1 Custom Creations

This includes custom AcroBack builds, special colorways, embroidery, engravings, and limited runs. These pieces are made just for you — so we can only accept them back if there’s a genuine manufacturing issue.

3.2 Clothing

For hygiene and care reasons, clothing is non-returnable unless the wrong item or a clear defect slipped through. Trying it on and sending it back isn’t possible — but we’ll work with you if something is truly off.

3.3 Safety & Load-Bearing Gear

Spotting belts, harnesses, and structural gear cannot be returned once opened, except for verified defects. Safety first, always.++++


Valid Return Reasons

We happily accept returns when:

A product has a manufacturing defect

You received the wrong item

The specs don’t match what we advertised

The product arrived damaged (proof required — see below)

Preference-based returns (color, look, feel) are only eligible when the product differs materially from what was described.


How to Start a Return

Send us a message at hello@beyondthematco.com with:

  • Your order number or proof of purchase
  • Clear photos/videos showing the issue
  • A short explanation of what’s going on Yyour order number or proof of purchase

We’ll reply within 4–7 business days and guide you from there. Friendly humans guaranteed.


Where Returns Go

To save everyone time and shipping chaos, you’ll return items to the closest regional hub:

  • Indonesia (Asia / Oceania)
  • Belgium (EU)
  • Idaho, USA (North America)

We’ll tell you which hub to use when your request is approved.


Shipping Costs

Customer Covers Shipping When:

  • The item isn’t defective
  • You ordered the wrong item
  • You changed your mind
  • It was a festival purchase

We Cover Shipping When:

  • The product has a verified defect
  • We sent the wrong item
  • Courier damage occurred (with proper evidence)

Initial shipping, customs, VAT, and duties are generally non-refundable unless we made a mistake.


Courier Damage

If your order arrived looking like it fought a dragon on the way:

  • Let us know within 48 hours
  • Keep packaging and labels
  • Send clear unboxing photos/videos (this helps the courier behave)

The more detail you share, the faster we can fix it.


Refunds

Method

  • We refund to the original payment method.

Timing:

  • 10–20 business days after we receive and approve the return. (International logistics and inspections take a moment — we promise we’re not sipping coconuts instead of processing your refund.)

Amounts:

  • Full refund (including original shipping) for defects or wrong items
  • Product-only refund for standard approved returns
  • Taxes, duties, and fees can’t be refunded unless caused by an error on our side

Exchanges

We can exchange items when:

  • You received the wrong product
  • A sizing label was incorrect
  • The replacement exists in our inventory

Preference-based exchanges aren’t always possible, but we’ll always try to help.

We’ll reply within 4– business days and guide you from there. Friendly humans guaranteed.
