The higher-support AcroBack — for Icarians, pops, whips, taller bases, and anyone who wants more cushion under the low back and hips.
Big Poppa exists because repeated launch-and-catch training puts a different, higher load through a base's hips and back than static L-basing does. It's built for that specifically: more lift, a dedicated lumbar cradle, and enough surface area for taller or broader bases. Most people who own Big Poppa started with the AcroBack Go and added this once Icarian training got serious — most bases keep both.
What makes Big Poppa the Icarian model
- Built for the load Icarian training adds. Pops, whips, and launches put repeated, dynamic load through the hips and back — a different demand than static holding. Big Poppa's extra lift and cushion are built around that.
- 13–14 cm of lift with an ergonomic lumbar cradle. Noticeably more height than Go's 7–10 cm, shaped to cradle the lower back and hips through longer, higher-intensity sessions.
- Reinforced coccyx padding. Extra density directly beneath the tailbone absorbs the sharper impact of pops, whips, and drops — support that holds up without dulling your power.
- More support at less weight. Advanced lightweight foam delivers deeper lift and cushion at just 600–850 g — lighter than Go — so extra support never means extra bulk in your bag.
- Same premium cover, distinct piping. Big Poppa uses the same premium base cover as Go; the piping marks the added lift at a glance.
Also included: a magnetic snap closure with removable buckle, a reinforced strap in a protective neoprene sleeve, and an anti-slip core grip.

Big Poppa shares the updated platform developed with Flow: lightweight YKK polymer strap hardware, neoprene hardware guards, silicone grip detailing on the base, an ergonomic center saddle with raised side wings, quick-pull strap tightening, premium edge piping, multi-layer foam construction, and a soft comfort top layer.
The polymer hardware is selected to reduce weight and hard-metal contact. The silicone grip helps reduce sliding on suitable practice surfaces; it does not replace correct placement or good judgment.
