The AcroBack · AcroYoga pillows for bases
A little lift under your hips can change how basing feels. Here’s why so many AcroYoga bases bring one to every session.
Find your AcroBack ↓Why use a pillow?
If you have tight hamstrings, basing flat on the floor can make it harder to find a comfortable hip position. A pillow raises your hips a little, so you can adjust the angle instead of forcing the position. It also puts padding between your lower back and the floor.
You may notice it in the first few attempts—and again later, when you still want another round. It can help make coming back to train tomorrow feel easier.

The added height gives your hips another starting angle. You can find a position that works for your body instead of fighting the floor.
The pillow cushions the area under your hips and lower back. It can make repeated attempts and longer sessions more comfortable.
Rather than rolling on one point of your spine, you have a broader place to settle and adjust. The new hip angle can let you engage your quads and glutes differently as you control the move.
Even a few centimeters can change the feel of whips and pops. If you train dynamic skills, that lift becomes part of your setup.
From Brent, the founder
After a back injury, basing on the floor didn’t feel good. I tried putting a pillow under my hips. It gave me a better angle and made practice more comfortable, so I started making a pillow specifically for AcroYoga.
I think of it like running shoes. You can practice without a pillow, but the right support makes a real difference when you’re doing this again and again.
Go is the original, and we still make it. After years of using it, listening to other bases, and trying more than 40 prototypes, I made Big Poppa for people who want a different feel and more lift.

You focus on flows and everyday L-basing, and you prefer a lower profile. Go is our recommendation for that combination. Big Poppa is also an option if you want more lift and shaped support.
Explore Go →You want more lift under your hips. Big Poppa adds that height with shaped hip and lower-back support, for flows as well as dynamic practice.
For pops, whips and Icarians, Big Poppa is our recommendation. Its added lift and shaped support are designed for this style of practice, while still working for everyday flows.
Big Poppa is our all-round recommendation for everyday flows, dynamic skills and a mix of both. It combines extra lift with shaped support around your hips and lower back.
For dynamic skills or mixed practice, we recommend Big Poppa for its lift and shaped support. You selected a lower profile: Big Poppa sits higher, so choose Go if staying close to the floor matters more to you.
